Experience a step back in time.

Experience a step back in time when visiting the Sac City Museum.

It is located on 13th and Main Streets and is open from 2-4 pm on weekends and holidays between Memorial and Labor Days.

Featured in the main building is a replica of Sac City’s Main Street stores, a fireman’s display, a War Room from the Spanish-American to the Persian Gulf Wars, and Little League memorabilia.

Experience life from the past by walking through the dinning room, parlor, kitchen and bedroom.

Children enjoy the toy room where they can see many toys used by other children in the past century.  The war room has many exhibits to experience but the most talked about is the tree trunk with a canon ball still in it.

Be amazed by the collection of old wash machines in the laundry room.  The Barber & Beauty Shop displays many beauty aids.  The Dry Goods Store displays quilts and sewing patterns.  The E.E. Lewis Dress Shop is a reminder of what this dress shop was like in days gone by.  Chief Clothing Co. was a very prestigious men’s clothing store.  Farber and Otteman Funeral Home displays a wicker casket.

The Museum Village features many buildings, each displaying including Jackson #7 Country School House, the World’s Largest Popcorn Ball, a Telephone Company, The Post Office, General Store, Drug Store, Doctor’s Office, Farm Displays, Hardware Store, General Store, Vote Surveyor, a Chapel and the Alumni Hall.
